What Happened to Pyksel?
Pyksel closed for good on September 30, 2026. This is not an outage: the app page at app.pyksel.ai now shows a closure notice instead of the login screen.
"Closed 30 September 2026. The app is closed: signing in, generating and downloading are no longer available."
In practice, that covers everything you used the app for: you cannot log in to your account, create new images or videos, or download what you made before the closure.
Pykaso Became Pyksel
Pykaso and Pyksel are the same product under two names. Today, pykaso.ai redirects (302) to pyksel.ai, so anyone looking for Pykaso AI lands on the Pyksel site and its closure notice.
We found no official announcement explaining the rename. Some user reviews describe an acquisition followed by the name change, but we could not verify it, so treat it as unconfirmed.
What Pyksel Was
Pyksel was an AI influencer suite combined with AI UGC actors. It was published by Theia Technology LLC, a US company. Its main features:
Character training
You trained a character so the same AI influencer could appear across your content.
Image and video generation
Image generation and video generation for that character, in one app.
Image to video
Turning a still image of your character into a short video clip.
Upscaler
Upscaling generated images to a higher resolution.
AI UGC actors
Alongside its AI influencer tools, Pyksel offered AI UGC actors.
Pykaso AI Reviews: What Users Reported
On paper, Pykaso looked well rated: Trustpilot lists pykaso.ai at 4.1/5 from 95 reviews. But the 2026 reviews tell a different story. They are 1 or 2 stars, and they repeat the same complaints:
- Payment accepted in crypto only
- Charges taken after the subscription was canceled
- Refund requests refused
- "Gems" (the in-app currency) that became unusable after the rename
The 4.1 average includes older reviews. If you want to know how the service behaved in its final months, the 2026 reviews are the ones to read.
What the Shutdown Means for Pyksel Users
If you had a Pyksel account, your access is gone: no login, no new generations and no downloads. Here is how that plays out in practice.
Your images and videos
Downloading is no longer available. Only the files you saved to your own device or cloud storage before September 30, 2026 are still in your hands.
Your credits and Gems
Without a login, there is no way to spend a remaining balance. Users were already reporting unusable Gems after the rename, and we found no official announcement about refunds of unused credits.
Charges after you canceled
If you were charged after canceling, contact your bank or card issuer, explain the situation and ask what options they offer. Keep any cancellation confirmation or email as proof.
